Assault on the Carolinas ~ Brevard, NC
Assault on the Carolinas (AOTC) is organized by the Pisgah Forest Rotary Club and held annually in Transylvania County. The race consists of three bike rides, a 100k (65.8 miles), a 60k (37 miles) and a 40k (25 miles). The Rotary Club hosts AOTC every year as a major fundraiser.
This is my third year photographing the race. I absolutely LOVE it- I am amazed by every rider that does this race.

A peek inside Floressence | Brevard Wedding Photographer
When Floressence Floral Design asked me to come in and take some photos to showcase their new shop I was more than willing! I am so in love with their new space. Located on the outskirts of downtown Brevard- Eatherley and her crew have turned this run down space into something magnificent! I LOVE all of the soft colors and variety of textures. Floressence offers a huge selection of rental pieces. From vases & mason jars, to wooden center pieces & rusted metal lanterns. All kinds of eye candy decor. Not to mention their flower arrangements are absolutely stunning.

Sarah & Owen | Brevard, NC Rehearsal Dinner
I don't get to photograph rehearsal dinners too often- but I always have a blast when I do. It such a wonderful time. Time the bride and groom get to spend with their closest family and friends before the BIG DAY. Everyone is so relaxed- laughing and drinking.
Sarah & Owen's rehearsal dinner took place at the lovely Hob Nob in downtown Brevard, NC. They have excellent food and wonderful relaxed atmosphere.

Parris Family | Brevard Family Portrait Photographer
I just LOVE the Parris Family! The kids have grown so much since the first time I photographed them in 2009! It was cold and windy the day we did their session- but the kids put on their smiles, we ran around to different spots and they earned a cady cane for the ride home!

Annelise & Jake | Brevard Wedding Photographer
This was my second "Hagedorn Wedding" last month! I also photographed Jake's brother's wedding two weeks prior to this. And I absolutely loved getting to know these families!
Annelise and Jake are the most laid back couple- EVER! We had planned to do a "first look" prior to the wedding ceremony but due to some pre-wedding mishaps Annelise literally had time to throw her dress on and get to the ceremony. Through all of the craziness I never saw her cry, frown or complain. She was all smiles- nothing could put her in a bad mood on her wedding day!
I loved every aspect of this wedding- the mountain setting, the rustic looking cake (done by the one and only Blue Ridge Bakery), the wildflower bouquets, the origami paper cranes hanging in the trees, the tiki torches and the fact that Annelise thought to provide sunscreen, bug spray and hats for her guest to battle the heat.The only thing lacking was a slip-n-slide!
