Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue (CAAR) is a non-profit group that rescues dogs and cats from the Transylvania County Animal Shelter. Dogs and cats are pulled from the shelter placed in boarding and fosters homes until an approved rescue group is found for them. All animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and heartworm tested before going into foster or rescue.
Chris and I started working with CAAR this week when we go our first foster pup- Vicky. (photos to come soon)
In the few days that we have had Vicky she has come out of her shell soo much. In two weeks Vicky will travel up north to a rescue in Pennsylvania and begin her search for a forever home. Fostering is a such a great way to show dogs and cats that despite their rough past there is still a forever home out there for them.
Please support Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue and the following local businesses on Feb 22, 2011, this coming Tuesday. This is National Spay and Neuter Day to bring awareness of the need for all responsible pet owners to spay and neuter their pets. Since Charlie’s Angels primary purpose is to save shelter animals, we strongly support S/N Programs in order to lessen the number of abandoned, abused, neglected dogs and cats that end up at the shelter.
On Tuesday, please shop and/or dine at the following establishments and be sure to tell them why you are there on that day: TO SUPPORT S/N PROGRAMS AND CAAR
