Children of the Wood

Soooooo I have this amazing best friend. We live 1,500 miles apart yet she is there for me through thick and thin. We bitch about being adults, brag about our children, talk about politics & finances, dreams & future goals. We dream about homesteading and homeschooling together one day.
Not only is she an amazing best friend, she is the most talented person I know! She sews, draws, paints and has just written her first children’s book.

Over the past year she has been working day & night on this book. Pouring her heart and soul into it. I have gotten glimpses of the pages. But when I received a physical copy of this book in its entirety I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. Each book is printed and bound by her little family. Each page is hand stained. I could preach for days on the craftsmanship of this little book. But it is the words and illustrations that truly blew me away.

This book is NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS. My children are not running around putting spells the mailman and hexes on the neighbors. It’s teaching my children inner strength and finding the power within to change the things that they are passionate about.

So if you like teaching your children to believe in themselves and finding their inner voice you NEED this book. Plus supporting small businesses and local artists is a cool thing to do 🙂
