Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue (CAAR) has won a spot in my heart. And I encourage everyone who can to volunteer with CAAR.
CAAR is a non-profit group in Transylvania County (Brevard, NC) that pulls animals from the Transylvania Animal Shelter and vaccinates, vets and spay/neuters them before placing them in an approved foster home until a rescue or approved adopted is found. CAAR runs solely off of donations and none of the care and rehabilitation for these animals could happen without the help of families who open their homes to foster. Some fosters only stay 1-3 weeks others need long term foster due to medical conditions.
Some animals come to the shelter as an owner surrender- meaning their owners can no longer care for them, others are strays. Some come from loving homes and know what great companions humans can be- others have been abused or neglected and need some love and care to be reassured that humans arent so bad.
This week Im reaching out for Clover. Clover came to the shelter as a stray and hasnt had much interaction with humans. She has been at the shelter since March 1st and is simply terrified. I feel that with some one-on-one attention Clover would be a wonderful family dog. She is believed to be around a year old- weighing about 30 lbs. WHAT A SWEET girl- just very scared! Can someone please find it in their heart to take Clover into their home until an approved adopter or rescue can be found. Show her what a family really is….
If you are interested in fostering Clover or just want to volunteer with CAAR (there are other ways to volunteer) please contact them ASAP
